First Friday: August

Friday was a fun day…

Today we kind of more or less goofed off. We played the game Heads Up to help us with our scripture mastery. However, I don’t think the students really understood how to play it – or maybe I didn’t explain it well enough.

We are still struggling as a class to sing our hymns in the morning as part of our devotional. I am not sure how to remedy that. No one has stepped up to play the piano for us. My guess is that is part of the problem regarding the lack of singing.

Monday will be a more structured day as we begin to explore the Old Testament more thoroughly. It will also mark the first week we have a class president. I have selected Christine as our CP for week two. She will be responsible for conducting the morning devotionals by making assignments for the opening prayer, calling on a student to review their scripture reading, assigning hymns, a pianist and chorister, as well as someone to give the closing prayer. She will also teach the class on Wednesday.

Things are about to get very interesting…
Have a great weekend ~ Brother Morris
