A Student Lead
Classroom:
As Disciples of Christ, it is important we know how to share
the Lord’s message. It is with this is mind I will be instituting a student
lead program. Once a week students will take turns leading the class as the facilitator.
Assignments will be given to the student in advance to allow them to prepare to
teach. Every student will have the opportunity to teach (without exception). If
you require assistance fulfilling this assignment please let me know.
Food & Beverages:
The Church has a no food policy outside the cultural hall or
kitchen area. I will be enforcing this rule with few exceptions. It is
important you eat your breakfast prior to coming to class (or afterwards). The
only beverage I will allow in the classroom will be water. Please do not bring
juice, sports drinks, energy drinks or any other non-water products into the
classroom.
Presidential Award:
Each year President Fisher hands out the Presidential Award.
This is a prestigious gift awarded to those that have 100% attendance,
memorized all 25 scripture mastery verses for the year, those who have read all
the assigned scripture text for the year. It is a personal goal of mine to help
all of you receive this award.
Genesis and Exodus:
This year will mark the finally year of seminary for the
bulk of the class and the first year of seminary for myself. Together, we are
going to have an excellent time developing a new found knowledge of, and love
for, the Old Testament. I am excited to meet you all and to get to know you
more personally. As your teacher I am here to help you grow in the gospel. The
seminary objective is to help youth and young adults understand and rely on the
teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the
temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life
with their Father in Heaven. This is my mission and with your help, we will accomplish
this divine goal.
See you Monday ~ Brother Dustin Morris
