Lesson 3: The Role of
the Learner
Today students were asked to complete a 300 piece puzzle as
a team. As they worked together they discovered the importance of their roles.
As I observed each group, I noticed they all assigned someone to work on a certain
part of the puzzle. Identifying pieces belonging to their section became the
priority for that person. As the student came across pieces belonging to
someone else, they would share or pass them to the assigned person. While none
of the teams were able to complete the exercise, each team learned the object
of the lesson.
The objective:
The seminary class is designed to create a team between the
teacher, student and the Holy Ghost. As the three worth together, truth can
taught effectively.
- The teacher teaches by the Spirit
- The Holy Ghost settles these truths on our hearts.
- Spiritual knowledge take great effort.
